UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Port Blair, Andaman, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on September 11, 2024, with great enthusiasm, embracing the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The event began with a soulful manglacharan, setting a fitting tone for a day filled with inspiring activities. Students took the spotlight, delivering passionate speeches that underscored the significance of UB Day and Chicago address.
The audience was then captivated by a vibrant folkdance performance that showcased the rich culture of India, followed by a melodious song that conveyed messages of harmony and togetherness. On the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day (UB Day), Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Port Blair, organized an inter-school competition. The event aimed to promote unity, brotherhood, and healthy competition among students. Participating schools showcased their talents in various events, including a quiz competition, Folk dance, Patriotic song and Drawing competition. The competition was marked by enthusiasm and team spirit, reflecting the true essence of Universal Brotherhood Day. Students from different schools came together, sharing ideas and learning from each other. 


The principal's address emphasized the values of unity, brotherhood, and service that are central to VKV's philosophy. The Chief Guest, Swami Omkaratmanandaji, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, delivered a motivational speech, inspiring the students to pursue greatness through collective effort and unity. 
A prize distribution ceremony recognized the achievements of students in various fields, encouraging them to strive for excellence. The event concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, leaving the audience with a sense of peace and harmony. Overall, the UB Day celebration at VKV Port Blair, Andaman, was a tremendous success, promoting a sense of unity and brotherhood among students, teachers, and staff.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Port Blair on 7th September 2024. The students actively participated in the puja, which was conducted by a pandit who chanted shlokas and led the prayers. The atmosphere was serene and filled with peace as everyone joined in singing bhajans dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The puja concluded with the offering of prasad, which was distributed to the parents, students, teachers, and the general public who attended the event. The joy of the occasion was evident as everyone partook in the prasad and rejoiced in the spiritual atmosphere. The celebration fostered a sense of community and devotion, making it a memorable event for all present.

TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

The Teacher’s Day celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Port Blair, organized by the students of Class XII, took place on 5th September 2024 with great enthusiasm. The program commenced with Smt. Manju Singh’s insightful speech on the greatness of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, highlighting his contributions to education and the importance of this day.

In the morning session, students took on the roles of teachers, gaining firsthand experience and understanding the value of the teaching profession. This activity fostered a deeper respect for teachers and their responsibilities.


The afternoon session was filled with vibrant cultural performances presented by the students, adding to the festive atmosphere. Students and teachers then shared a delightful lunch together, further strengthening the bond between them.

The event concluded with much appreciation from all attendees. Both the performances and the collaborative spirit were praised, making the day a memorable one for everyone involved.
