Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijaya Puram celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 9th July 2025 in the school premises. The main objective behind celebrating Raksha Bandhan was to make the children aware of the virtuous bond of love between a brother and sister, which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human beings.
The celebration started with three omkaras and manglacharan . The students of class IX to XII presented soulful songs to grace the occasion and Smti. P. Niharika, teacher VKV highlighted the significance of the occasion. Girl students enthusiastically tied Rakhi on the wrist of boys. The vibrant colour of Rakhi and innocent smiles brightened the ambience and lifted the spirit. Sweets were distributed among the students. The celebration concluded with shanti mantra.
Some teachers with few students visited different organisations such as G B Pant Hospital, Ayush Hospital, Seva Niketan and Ramakrishna Mission to spread the message of the brotherhood of Raksha Bandhan and tie Rakhis. Altogether 575 students and 56 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff were present to grace the occasion.
