GEETA JAYANTI

Gita Jayanti was celebrated in VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA (SRI VIJAYA PURAM) on 1st December 2025 with great devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural spirit. The programme aimed to highlight the timeless teachings of the Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta and to inspire students to follow its message of righteousness, duty, and self-discipline.

The event began with Aikya Mantra, followed by a brief introduction on the significance of Geeta Jayanti. Students from Classes VI to XII participated in various activities such as shloka recitation, Geeta chanting and speech presentations based on the episodes from the Mahabharat.

A special highlight of the celebration was the Geeta Chanting Session, where students recited verses from different chapters with proper pronunciation and understanding. Geeta chanting, the 12 chapter, was performed by K.Srinidhi of Class V and Palak Biswas of Class - VII chanted Karmayoga  Shloka Samgraha. Dhruv, a student of Class - VIII, explained the life story of Lord Krishna in the form of an exhibit. A speech was also presented by Shri Shiv Kumar Dwivedi in the morning assembly highlighting the importance of the day and explaining the core teachings of the Gita, such as the importance of karma (duty), discipline, and maintaining balance in life.

The chief guest was Mananeeya Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj. He addressed the gathering, appreciating the students’ active participation and encouraging them to imbibe the moral values taught in the Geeta. Shri Tushar Juvekar, Head of Chote Scientist, KPIT, Pune, Maharashtra also graced this special occasion by his presence. The celebration concluded with the distribution of certificates to the winners of the competitions. Overall, the Geeta Jayanti celebration was an enriching and inspiring experience that helped students understand the spiritual and philosophical essence of the Bhagavad Gita.
