Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanthi was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Port Blair on 2 nd October with great enthusiasm . The guest of the program was Mananeeya Viswas Ramchandra Lapalkarji,Prant Sanghatak, Vivekananda Kendra, West Bengal . The program started with Mangalacharan. The welcome address and introduction of the guest was given by Shri. S.Vijaya Kumar ( Principal ) Two melodious bhajans were presented by the teachers of the school. Kum Anusri Mondal and Shreya Chand both of class 11 presented their speech in English and Hindi respectively. Altogether 60 students of Class 9 and 11 and 60 staff members attended the program.
Later Kendra Varga was conducted for all staff members at 9 a.m. It comprised of bhajans , games, Vivekvani etc. All the teachers enthusiastically participated in it. The importance of Kendra Varga was presented by Ma. Viswasji . He emphasized all to take an oath to work as a team for the betterment of institution , society and people. The program concluded with the Shanti Mantra followed by Kendra Prarthana
