ANNUAL BALSABHA

The Annual Balsabha of VKV Sri Vijaya Puram was held with great enthusiasm, featuring various competitions and performances. The highlight of the event was the dance competition, where junior students showcased patriotic themes, while senior students performed vibrant folk dances. The four houses competed for the Best House Award, and the Best House Board was also recognized. Students with 100% attendance were honoured for their dedication. 


The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri Athekeshavan, JE, SVPMC, and an esteemed ex-student of VKV. The competition was judged by distinguished panelists—Smt. Sujata Roy, Smt. Sujata Chakraborty, and Shri Rizwaan—who appreciated the talent and efforts of the participants.

  






The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, judges, teachers, and students for making the event a grand success. The Annual Balsabha truly reflected the school’s spirit of excellence and teamwork.

Farewell Ceremony for Class 12 Students (2024-25)


Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijayapuram, bid a fond farewell to its outgoing Class 12 students on 5th February 2025. The ceremony was held in a beautifully decorated hall, filled with excitement, nostalgia, and joy.

The event commenced with a warm welcome for the outgoing students by the Class 11 students, who had organized the ceremony with great enthusiasm and dedication. The welcome was followed by the arrival of the dignitaries, including Principal Smt. Jaya Sivasankaran, Vice Principal Smt. Shiny Mohan, Education Officer Sri R. Venugopal, and Headmaster Sri Subhash.

The program was a vibrant and memorable celebration of the students' journey, with a range of performances that showcased their talents and creativity. The audience was treated to energetic dance performances, soulful songs, a heartfelt skit, and a PPT presentation that highlighted the treasured memories of the students' time at the school.

One of the most delightful moments of the ceremony was when the teachers and

students danced together, creating a cherished experience that will be remembered for a long time. The atmosphere was filled with joy, applause, and nostalgia, as the students and teachers came together to celebrate the students' time at the school.

A delicious lunch was served, and the students received memorable gifts as a token of love and appreciation from their teachers and peers. The gifts were a reminder of the bonds that had been formed during their time at the school and the memories that they would carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Principal Smt. Jaya Sivasankaran appreciated the Class 11 students for organizing such a wonderful farewell ceremony, which was a fitting tribute to the outgoing students. She praised the students for their hard work, dedication, and creativity, which had made the ceremony a huge success.
 

The farewell ceremony was a poignant reminder of the importance of the bonds that are formed during our time at school. As the outgoing students move on to the next stage of their lives, they will carry with them the memories, values, and lessons that they have learned during their time at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijayapuram. The school wishes them all the best for their future endeavors and hopes that they will stay in touch and continue to be a part of the school community.

SARASWATI POOJA CELEBRATION

                     Vasant Panchami Celebration at VKV Sri Vijaya uram 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijaya Puram, celebrated Vasant Panchami with great enthusiasm on 3rd February 2025. The entire school, including teachers and students, gathered in the premises to worship Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom and knowledge.  

The celebration commenced with a traditional Saraswati Puja, where students and teachers participated with devotion.  Classes 10 & 12 paid special salutations to Ma Saraswati, seeking her blessings for wisdom and success. The significance of the day was eloquently explained by Shivkumar Dwivedi Sir, emphasizing the importance of education and wisdom in one’s life.  


Following the puja, a hawan (sacred fire ritual) was performed, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The entire school resonated with the melodious chanting of bhajans, sung by both students and teachers, invoking divine blessings. After the Pushpanjali (offering of flowers) and Aarti, everyone received the divine blessings of Ma Saraswati.  

The school atmosphere was filled with the fragrance of fresh flowers, the soothing aroma of burning camphor, and spirituality. The celebration brought a sense of peace and positivity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.  

The event concluded with the distribution of Mahaprasad, where all students, parents and staff partook in the sacred offering, marking a spiritually enriching experience for all.

MATRU POOJA

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijaya Puram, organized a heartfelt Matru Puja on 2nd February 2025, in which 129 students of Class X and XII participated and expressed their deep love and gratitude towards their mothers. The ceremony aimed to instill respect for mothers, acknowledging their sacrifices and unconditional love.  

During the puja, students performed rituals with devotion, seeking blessings from their mothers. The emotional atmosphere was filled with tears of joy as students washed their mothers’ feet and expressed their heartfelt gratitude. Teachers and parents actively participated, witnessing this touching tribute.  

The event concluded with students taking blessings from both their parents and teachers for a successful future. The ceremony strengthened the bond between children and their mothers, reinforcing values of love, respect, and gratitude. The school management appreciated the efforts of students and parents, making the event a memorable one.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION



The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sri Vijayapuram. Shri K. Rajesh, an ex-Navy officer, unfurled the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and Flag Song. Students saluted the flag, took the pledge, and delivered speeches in Hindi and English, emphasizing the significance of the day. Songs presented by students across all levels resonated with the spirit of patriotism. In his address, the chief guest highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urged students to honour their legacy by serving the nation with diligence and unity. The celebration inspired a deep sense of patriotism and unity among all participants.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

Commemoration of the 162nd Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day Celebration on January 12, 2025. The 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was commemorated with great zeal and reverence at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lamba Line, Sri Vijaya Puram. The celebrations, observed in conjunction with National Youth Day, aimed to honour Swami Vivekananda’s timeless teachings and his vision for the empowerment of youth and society.


The morning program was held at VKV, Lamba Line, Sri Vijaya Puram where Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Inspector, A & N Police Department graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He paid homage by garlanding Swami Vivekananda’s statue and offering floral tributes.

The main event unfolded in the evening at the Ambedkar Auditorium, beginning at 5:00 pm. Smt. Jaya Sivasankaran Principal, VKV, Lamba line warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, students and parents, setting a gracious tone for the evening. 

Shri. Devender Yadav, Airport Director, Veer Savarkar International Airport, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, inaugurated the program by lighting the traditional lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment Swami Vivekananda brought to countless lives. Addressing the audience, the Chief guest Shri Devender Yadav, Airport Director, Veer Savarkar International Airport, highlighted the enduring significance of Swami Vivekananda’s vision, particularly his emphasis on youth empowerment, spiritual growth, and nation-building. 


Pujya Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati, Acharya, Chinmaya Mission, Special Guest of the occasion, delivered a thought-provoking benediction, shedding light on Swami Vivekananda’s pivotal role as a social reformer. He elaborated on how Vivekananda inspired nationalism, unity, and purpose, especially among the youth, urging them to uphold his ideals of selfless service and dedication to the nation.

The program also featured a vibrant array of cultural performances by students, including devotional songs, dances, and skit. Altogether 200 students participated in the program. These performances captivated the audience and served as a creative expression of the students’ admiration for his legacy.

  


 

  







   

  

Smti. Shiny Mohan, Vice Principal VKV, proposed vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and attendees. The program, attended by a large gathering of students, parents, and community members, served as a fitting tribute to Swami Vivekananda. It inspired everyone present to imbibe his teachings and work towards building a better society, guided by his ideals of strength, wisdom, and compassion.

The program concluded with shanti mantra. The total Attendance in both the morning and evening programs put together is around 1200.
